Copenhagen · DKK 1,000 / 45 minutes
A good headshot does a lot of quiet work. It is often the first thing a client, recruiter or collaborator sees of you, and it should look like a confident, current version of yourself rather than a cropped holiday photo or something taken years ago in a different job.
I shoot headshot sessions one client at a time, on location around Copenhagen rather than in a fixed studio backdrop, which gives the images a bit more depth and personality than a flat grey wall. The session runs 45 minutes for DKK 1,000, and includes full posing guidance plus a fully edited gallery.
Most people booking a headshot session have not had one taken professionally before, or their last photo is well out of date. Neither is a problem — I direct every part of the session, from posture to expression, so you leave with something you would actually want representing you.
Good light matters more than almost anything else in a headshot, which is why I favour open shade or soft overcast light over harsh midday sun. Even, flattering light removes shadows under the eyes and across the jaw, and it reads as more professional regardless of location.
Expression is the other half. A slightly relaxed, natural half-smile tends to photograph better than a full grin held for too long, and small adjustments — chin forward and down slightly, shoulders angled rather than square to the camera — make a noticeable difference. I direct all of this in the moment so you do not have to think about it yourself.
Sluseholmen's waterfront and modern architecture give a clean, minimal backdrop that keeps the focus on you rather than a busy background — a strong choice for tech, finance and consulting headshots. Copenhagen's city centre offers a more traditional urban backdrop if you want something recognisably Copenhagen without being a tourist landmark.
For a softer, greener option, Frederiksberg's gardens work well, especially for people in healthcare, education or wellness fields who want a warmer, more approachable tone. We can also shoot indoors near a large window if you specifically want a neutral, studio-style backdrop.
Headshots make a lot of people more nervous than any other type of session, mostly because they feel like they are being judged in a single still frame. I keep direction constant and specific throughout — small adjustments to angle, chin, shoulders and expression — so you are never left standing there wondering what to do.
We usually shoot several variations of the same setup rather than one single shot, so you have options to choose from rather than one attempt to get right. Most people relax noticeably by the third or fourth frame.
Job seekers updating LinkedIn, employees whose company photo is years old, consultants and freelancers who need a professional image for proposals, and students preparing for their first round of job applications. It is also common for people simply starting fresh — a new role, a new business, a new chapter — who want a photo that matches where they are heading.
DKK 1,000 covers 45 minutes, one or two locations, full posing direction, and a fully edited gallery delivered within one to two weeks. Editing is clean and natural, correcting colour and light without erasing what actually makes you look like you.
Message me on Instagram at shutter.optique, or reach out by email or phone, and let me know what the photo is for and roughly when you need it. I will suggest a location and time, and we take care of the rest on the day.
