Nyhavn
The postcard shot. Coloured facades, wooden masts and warm reflections — best early morning before the crowds.
Nyhavn photo guide →Copenhagen · DKK 1,000 / 45 minutes
This page is the practical one. If you already know you need Copenhagen headshots and mostly want to know what they cost, how long they take and when you will get the files, everything is set out below.
If you would rather read about how the session itself runs — posing, locations, who books one — the full headshot session page covers that side in detail.
One flat rate: DKK 1,000 for a 45-minute session. That is the same price for headshots as for every other session type I shoot, and it covers the shoot itself, full direction on the day, and a fully edited gallery. There is no per-image fee and no separate retouching charge.
Travel within Copenhagen and Frederiksberg is included. If you want to shoot somewhere further out, tell me when booking and I will confirm whether anything extra applies before you commit.
The session is 45 minutes from the first frame to the last, and in practice that is enough for two locations within a short walk of each other, two outfits, and several distinct setups. Most people are done before the time is up.
Editing takes one to two weeks. If you have a hard deadline — a new role starting, a conference programme going to print — say so when booking and I will prioritise your gallery.
Copenhagen light changes a lot across the year, and it affects what your headshots look like more than the location does. Overcast days are genuinely good for headshots: the light is even and forgiving, with no hard shadows under the eyes.
From roughly October to February, usable daylight is short, so headshot sessions run between about 10:00 and 14:00. From March to September there is far more room, and late afternoon gives the warmest, softest result. Booking a week or two ahead is usually enough; June and September fill up faster.
You receive a fully edited, high-resolution gallery, cropped both tight for profile photos and wider for websites and press use. Editing is clean — colour and light corrected, skin left looking like skin.
Bring two outfits if you want variety, in solid colours rather than fine patterns, which can look noisy at small profile sizes. Everything else, including posture and expression, I direct on the day.
For a clean, minimal backdrop that keeps attention on your face, Sluseholmen's waterfront works well. For something warmer and greener, Frederiksberg gardens are the usual choice. If you want a recognisably Copenhagen backdrop, Nyhavn can work early in the morning before the crowds arrive.
If headshots are part of a wider set of images for a website or brand, personal branding photography covers that more fully.

Good to know
With shutter.optique, DKK 1,000 for a 45-minute session, including direction on the day and a fully edited gallery. There are no per-image or retouching fees.
There is no fixed cap. A 45-minute headshot session typically produces a gallery of edited images across several setups and expressions, so you can choose rather than being handed one frame.
One to two weeks is usually enough. June and September are the busiest months, so book earlier if you need a specific date then.
Yes, if you tell me your deadline when booking. Urgent galleries can be prioritised at no extra cost.
I shoot on location rather than in a fixed studio, but an indoor setup beside a large window gives a clean, neutral, studio-style background if that is what you need.
